Ewok Village

Anybody do any work on the Ewok Village?  I think it would be a great set to light up, but I’m totally new to these kits.  Anyone have any suggestions?

  • Hi Jonathan, thanks for your message.  We don't have this set in our collection, so we haven't lit it.  Hopefully someone will reply with information about how they have lit the set.

  • Rob Klingberg thanks for the reply.  This will be my first set to light up so I don’t want to go crazy.  I saw another company that had done an Ewok Village but I like the look of the your lights better.  I may just have to start ordering some parts and experiment.  Do you guys have anything like a starter kit that I can learn on?

  • Jonathan Hill We do have several starter kits.  I went and downloaded the LDD file for the set tonight, so I could look at the parts.  There are several torches inside the rooms-- you could use our flickering torches for those.  For the other lights, they are smaller with large flames-- it would be difficult to fit Pico LEDs inside those as built but you could easily add a brown round brick under the flame and put the Pico LED inside that.  You could pick up our Lighting Effect Starter Kit which has an effect controller with 12 effects.  One of those is flickering fire-- you could place the 6 LEDs that come with that kit in the various places around the village that have flames, then connect them all to the effect controller and run the flame effect to have all 6 of the lights flicker.  That would look really good, and it would be a good way to start and get familiar with the lights, how they work, and how they fit inside LEGO parts.

I hope this information is helpful.  Please keep us posted on what you decide to go with and how it looks!
