UCS Millennium Falcon External Power Source

Hi

I purchased the premium light kit with PF power source (internal batteries). Very happy with it all however my requirements have now changed so I need an external power source.

Reading the manual it says I can purchase a 4 pack of 24" connecting cables and a 4 pack of BRANCH04 adaptors.

Does this mean all I need to do is remove the batteries from the Falcon to an external location and use the new connectors to hook it up?

Sorry if this is a newbie question, I just want to get it right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Regards

Steve

  • Hi Steve, thank you for your message.  Yes you can use 2x 24" cables and 2x BRANCH04 adapters-- are you planning to just extend the LEGO power setup, or do you want to switch to USB?  If you're planning to use the LEGO power setup, the cables and adapters will be fine, but if you're wanting to switch to USB, you just need 2x of our USB cables as well (along with 2x iPhone/iPad type mains adapters).  I hope this information is helpful-- please let us know if you have any additional questions.  Thank you!

Hi Rob, thanks for the swift reply.

I am happy to just extend the set up.

The Falcon is now going to be within an acrylic case so I don't want the hassle of having to remove the case just to turn the lights on or off. I will make up some form of enclosure for the batteries to hide them.

    Thanks again

Sorry. RE the USB connection, would I need to purchase two cables and two adaptors?
