I purchased the mentioned item have had no issues with it until I tried to use it by connecting to a 9v controller through the 9v to PF adapter. It doesn't seem to work when connected to the adapter, unlike PF motors and such.

Is this expected to work like this? Works with PF battery pack but not the PF adapter from 9v.
