Hehe...i did drill tonight!!!  looks so awesone though...

and the blinky light effect too...see the video...

I added a layer of one 1x2 plate yellow translucent and two round 1x1 translucent blue and orange in the middle of the console box console. I put 2 pico white under each 1x1 and plugged them in a LEC with Blinky lights effect. I used a branch 3 on each output of the LEC so I can have one pico light going to that console and the other one will go in the cockpit, and I do the same with the other LEC output so it will use the same Blinky effect for console and cockpit 

I also added a few brick to hold a blue pico shining on the lower window at the lower cannon. 

Christian Nanini very nice.  I decided I wanted all the Internal lights on one IR channel, all external lights on another, then the top side cannon on a final channel.  For me, the bottom side cannon is going away so I can wall mount

Rob Klingberg a white one under an orange 1x1 and a blue cylinder. I’m not sure yet about the orange-Red effect.  I tried blue and tried white but was too bright. What do you think?

Christian Nanini Rob Klingberg I've found that using a trans-cylinder defuses the light nicely.  If you want it even more defused, use a white cylinder.

Brett Halper how did you light up the  Engine? Looks like you added vertical connectors!!any jet engine shaking effects or just constant blue light?

Christian Nanini same exact method you shared.  That is only one light.  I haven't played around with any LEC effects on it yet.  I'll take some pictures of each assembly tomorrow.  Until then, enjoy my finished cockpit (the red and orange lights blink)!

please send picture of the lights and wiring... I am down to bag #13 so the back of the ship. I will keep the 2 openings open so we can see the two rooms through my table top. Not Into the cockpit yet but yours looks really nice!!

Christian Nanini pictures of the engine assembly.  I kept the grey grids, but moved them further into the ship to make room for the new assemblies. About 25 of these snap onto the top rung to create the curved back. I then feed two of the pool noodles behind to create a nice effect and diffuse light. 

Completed and mounted.  Cannon alternates top/bottom lights. Happy to answer any questions or take different pictures if asked.

Brett Halper can you show me how you did light up the canon on top?  I'll continue the build this week-end...i am still waiting on some Lego spare parts for the canon.  and if you can take pictures of how you fixed the falcon to the TV stand...

I'll get some pictures tonight/tomorrow on the cannon ontop as well as the stand.

For the cannon, drilled through the long posts to feed the wires through (had to cut the connectors off then resolder). 

For the mount, used two L-brackets and then a few different metal mending plates.  Drilled into them /the base plate and secured with nuts /bolts.  Very important to brace the set in the front/back and not just the middle.
