Millennium Falcon V2 Upgrade
On Steps 9 & 10 it shows a wire with a small & large white plug, the photo above is the wires I received with a small white plug & a “square black plug “ which does not work at all - is this the wrong item?
Also the plug in Step 11 is supported to be large; the one on my Falcon is small and does not work with a Branch13 supplied with the V2 Upgrade. Please advise.

Hi Mike, thanks for your note. Sorry for the confusion. The plugs in the photo you sent are for the laser cannon-- you will use these toward the end of the installation instructions.
You should also have two cables like the ones pictured in Step9 of the instructions-- with a large plug on one end and small plug on the other. Are you saying these were not included in your "Core Parts" bag?
Even if these were missing, it sounds like you won't need them because your docking bay lights have a small connector? If that is the case, you can connect it directly to plug #1 on the BRANCH09X adapter as shown in the third photo of Step 9.
And you're certain these are the wires from the docking bay lights, not the laser cannon?
Please let me know what you see, thank you.

Rob, I’m definitely sure these two cables were in the Main Parts Bag & they are the only ones in the V2 Kit that are half blue & half red as shown in the 1st photo on step 9. I do not have two more cables as shown in Step 9, I need these cables to be able to connect to the Branch09X & Branch13.
Also if connector #1 of Branch 09X has already been used as shown in The 3rd photo of Step 9, wouldn’t the small Docking Bay plug have to go in connector #2 ? Don’t you need to send me two more correct red/blue cables with small & large plugs?Needless to say, this is all very confusing.
Thank You for your help!Mike

Mike Frizzell Hi Mike, ok, first, it sounds like the plug on your old/existing docking bay lights is a small plug-- is that correct? Or is it large? Have a look at Step 11 and let me know if the plug for your docking bay lights is large or small. It should be large, but I thought from your earlier message that it was small. This is important, as it impacts how I'd recommend proceeding.
Regarding the two cables you say you are missing, it is very possible that both halves of the cable have red and black wires. Can you have a look in your Main Parts bag? All you are looking for are two cables that have large plugs on one end and small plugs on the other-- the color of the wire does not matter. If you have these cables but they have red/black wires, please let me know and I will update the instructions.
Once I know the answer to these two questions I can tell you how to proceed, and if any parts are missing, we can definitely send them.
Thank you.

Yes, the plugs on the ends of my Docking Cables in my Falcon are definitely “small” and the two cables in the Main Parts Bag are definitely Red & Blue with a small plug on one end and a square black plug on the other end, there are no other cables in the entire V2 Kit that are small on one end and large on the other.
Hope this clarifies.

Mike Frizzell OK great, thank you Mike. You can actually skip the BRANCH13 and the missing cables, then, and connect the docking bay directly to the BRANCH09X as shown in Step 9. You say plug #1 on the BRANCH09X is already occupied-- since you don't have the two cables mentioned in that step, I don't know what's connected there, but you can disconnect whatever is connected to plug #1 and just connect your docking bay lights directly to plug #1 on the BRANCH09X, since the plugs should be the same size.
In Steps 42 and 43, then, you will do the same-- skipping the cable and the BRANCH13, assuming your other docking bay lights also have small connectors.
Hopefully this makes sense, and allows you to move forward-- if not, please let me know. Sorry again for the confusion-- we made many different variants of the Falcon kit over the years, so I will update the instructions accordingly so others with the same configuration as you are able to move forward.
Thank you.

Hi Rob, well the V2 Upgrade is complete, however the Boarding Ramp will not work properly. I have tried everything I can think of, even put a drop of WD40 on all the ramp hinges to no avail. It seems the Servo is just not powerful enough to operate the ramp. Any suggestions or tips would be most appreciated.

Mike Frizzell Hi Mike, thanks for your update. I'm glad the upgrade is complete and that you didn't encounter any further issues with plug sizes, etc.
For the boarding ramp, can you verify that if the LEGO axles are detached from the servo, the servo itself rotates?
Step 12 of the install instructions show verifying the ramp can be opened and closed manually before the servo is connected. Can you verify that works?
Also, you need to se the "start" and "end" positions of the servo while it's attached to the ramp before it will move noticeably. This is shown in Step 16 of the instructions. Just checking to make sure a) the servo rotates when not connected to the axles, and b) that you've completed the "set" procedure as outlined in the instructions.
Please let me know, thank you!
