Bring back Hogwarts?
I have unfortunately just learned about your company and I was thoroughly impressed with the details of the Hogwarts Castle. I have a lighting kit from a different vendor still sitting in the box after 3 years as it’s looks like an extremely daunting task - and quite frankly, I really didn’t like all the wires visible everywhere in it. Your set is exactly what I was looking for, but unfortunately, it looks like you’re not making it anymore. I’m absolutely gutted to see that as I would love to get my hands on a kit. Would you happen to have any remaining kits or take a special request to make one more for this big fan (and definite future customer of yours)?

Hello! Thank you for your note-- we're thrilled that you've found us, and also happy that you like our approach to making premium kits for LEGO sets like the Hogwarts Castle. The main issue with making more of the Hogwarts kits (or making a special run) is that several key components used in that kit (electronic parts) became unavailable after the Covid-19 pandemic. We used up the parts we had to make the final batch of kits, but after that, we simply were not able to get the parts needed any longer. I know this isn't the news you were hoping for-- we loved those kits, but unfortunately it's no longer technically feasible for us to make them.
I hope you will still be interested in some of the new kits we're working on-- several of which we'll be announcing next month. Again, my apologies for the bad news. :-(

I actually have a Brickstuff Hogwarts light and sound kit that I have had sitting in the box since I bought it years ago. I am also extremely interested in this lighting set. The castle is so timeless. I am currently building it with my kids who are just starting to get into Harry Potter now. Please bring it back with different parts if at all possible.

Jonathan Greene Thank you for the added vote of support. I wish it were possible, but unless we were to get 100 or more customers who didn't have the kit who wanted it, we wouldn't be able to justify the cost of making new instructions, new parts, etc. The issue wasn't just the now-unavailable parts; it was also the hours of manual labor (easily 2+ hours per kit) needed to drill, glue, and solder parts. That's the part we can't easily justify unless people were willing to pay maybe 2x the cost of the original kit, or unless we got a large number of people willing to commit to a new run. Ugh, sorry there isn't an easier answer!

Rob Klingberg Thank you for the response Rob! I know I would be willing to pay double the cost. Given how popular/iconic the castle is, I would think it would sell 100 units if it's the best one on the market (and I checked all the others, none of them come close). But maybe that's just me...
