Hi, thanks for your question.  The kit is controlled via infrared (IR), so you may be able to control it from your smartphone if your smartphone has as an infrared LED output.  Some Android phones have these, I believe, and there are some IR adapters you can buy for other smartphones.   We don't have a list of phones with IR LEDs or a list of IR adapters.  If you have one, you would still need to "train" the phone to send the commands sent by our IR remote-- again we have no details about apps that would do this, or how they would work.

To summarize, it may be possible, depending on the phone you have, but unfortunately we're not able to provide any additional details about hardware, software, or configuration.
