Brett Halper You can use any of the outputs on the IR receiver to control LECs-- they can be controlled like any other connected light. The challenge is that you will still only get the effect you have selected on the LEC-- turning it on and off will not change the currently selected effect/pattern.
We use this approach with our lighting kit for the Disney Castle-- one of the IR receiver outputs controls 1-2 LECs which provide the color-changing lights and fireworks.

Rob Klingberg Thanks for the quick reply Rob! That is exactly what I want to do, sorry if I wasn't clear. For instance, I'm going to be adding lights to my 75192 Millenium Falcon, all on IR control. So light bars for the engines, some blinking lights (from one LEC) on the inside cabins, and laser cannon (from another LEC). Just wanted to be sure I could use the on/off output from the IR to turn additional LEC's on/off (with whatever their programmed effect is).

Brett Halper Thanks for the additional details-- sounds like a great project! Let us know if we can help at all. FYI one tip for the flashing lights: you can use our LEDs with built-in flashers to save some money vs. needed to dedicate a LEC to those. (unless you need them to flash in sync-- then a LEC would be needed)

hows your Falcon. I’m halfway but waiting for more lights and LEC that are coming this week to innstall before continuing. I’m done bags 9 so far. Will have lights at the front, lights at the back with jet engine effect, hallway and inside, under the falcon and blinky lights in one of the room and cockpit and cannon on top with cannon effect

Christian Nanini finished building it a few weeks ago, in the process of adding lights now. Mostly finished. Lights up front, both interior rooms, upper cannon cockpit, bridge cockpit, engines. I'm not a fan (at all) of the pool noodle engine look, so will be looking into a MOC engine assembly. Also have the wall mount to do.
