Video screen for Lego windows

I’ve been searching for a long time for a screen that I can use to display videos or images in my LEGO city as an advertising billboard. Ideally, it should fit within the frames of LEGO windows. Currently, I print out pictures on paper and insert them into the windows. It would be fantastic if I could upload content via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi without having to disassemble the windows every time—or alternatively, with a hidden cable. However, I haven’t been able to find a screen that matches the required size.

  • Funny you should mention this!  We are working on a new line of screens, and we've found one that fits perfectly inside a standard LEGO Window Frame like the ones above.  The entire module fits inside the window frame, so you just need to connect power.  We're planning to offer them in several configurations, one with an SD card slot where you can load your own videos (no sound support).  Wi-Fi is a possibility, though much more complicated from a development perspective, but we'll keep it in mind and see what we can accomplish!

This is still a product in the early stages of development, so we're likely looking at an early 2025 release, but I'll keep everyone posted on progress.  I'm very excited about this new line of screens.

Thanks again for the great suggestion!

  • Hey Rob,

I'm really excited to hear that you're already working on something! I'm so eager that I’ve been looking into solutions myself. I found some screens, but I haven’t figured out how to play media on them yet. Wi-Fi isn't a must for me—if it can be done via SD cards, that would be perfect.

I’m already looking forward to the beginning of 2025 when I can start modernizing my city. I have six areas that need to be equipped.

    Best regards,

    Dani

  • Here's an early sample showing the size of one of the screens (1.9") inside a LEGO door frame.  This does not include the circuit board, which will be the same size as the screen and attached to the back side.
