TOS Enterprise warp coil effect

Hello,

i want to replace the original light brick from the Mega Bloks Enterprise Modell because it‘s to short and with battery. I’ve already added some beacon lights so I have already a power connection over usb.

I want try to make a more accurate effect than the current one.

My current idea is to use some solid yellow leds and combine it with a green and a red led combined with a flickering effect generator.

but I would like to imitate the rotation effect as in the attached YouTube video. May I could use this new rotary leds, but they have only two „beams“.

Has someone of you a nice idea to realize the effect?

Hi Frank, we have this model in our shop.  I'll have a look to see what might be doable.

Frank Großmann Hi Frank, I did a very quick and basic test.  This is the type of effect we might be able to do.  Is it what you are looking for?

    This looks very good! :)

I would add some additional yellow and green leds with glow effect to simulate colliding particles... which parts did you use for the rotation effect?

Frank Großmann Hi, unfortunately we are only able to get 4 LEDS for the effect-- that is how our effect controllers are designed.  Max of 4 LEDs and they must be white.  I didn't use any special parts-- just put four of our standard Pico LEDs inside the back of the round transparent orange parts.
