Circuit Cube interface

Hi Brickstuff (Rob) I would love to see some interfaces for circuit cube. I have started using the cubes in locomotives and cars that dont have the space for traditional lego motors and i would love to be able to purchase adapter cables.  I know the circuit cubes are only 3.7v, and i have as you can see in the picture spliced a large connector onto a circuit cube power cable.

  • Thanks Alexander geary for the question-- this is something we've been thinking about for some time.  If you had an ideal adapter, how would it mount onto the Circuit Cube unit?  Which way would the plugs face?  I know people use the cubes in different ways and in different models but some idea of how an adapter could fit into your current model (and I'm sure you have others) would help give an idea.

  • It depends on the build for the connectors. For my inspection car I have it coming off of one of the outputs so can control the lights. For my Shay locomotive I would have it constant power so I could tell if the cube is on.

  • Alexander geary Got it, thanks.  How many of the outputs from the cube do you typically make use of? (1, 2, 3)?

  • Rob Klingberg usually on smaller builds I use 2 for motors and the 3rd for lights. On my crane I’m using all 3 for motors. I have tried running lights of the motor terminals but there’s not enough power to light the normal brickstuff lights.
