The expanded Capitol Hill is 1/2 finished.

First, it was only *after* the picture was posted that I realized I had forgotten to turn on the lighting for the dome.  So...unfortunately this image doesn't give you the full effect.

Capitol Hill is now 50% wider and the expanded lower portion has been rebuilt and lit.  The Capitol proper has 72 lights, the lower portion of The Hill has 42 lights.  (hey, same number as the Lincoln Memorial only spread out over three baseplates.)  The upper section of The Hill will add an additional 36 lights, bringing the total number for the Capitol and Capitol Hill to 150.

Whew!  We're getting there.

  • Once again, you really have to do a double-take to realize you're not looking at the actual U.S. Capitol.  Well done!
